Peen. Thanks I may try that, bit honestly filing it scares h@ll out of me. I had an Orvis reel on there that worked fine, but switched it to my 5 weight. Hmm.

I actually called Justin and got an extra foot for my Trout in case I screwed it up to bad. He got it in the mail right away.

From what I have learned throughout the whole process of dealing with my rod was that, the industry set a standard for what reel feet and real seat hardware should be. Thats great, but the range of tolerances are so broad, if you have a rod that is at the low end of the range and a reel that is at the high end they aren't going to fit.

Hi guys, was reading the posts about the reelfoot. These are the same reelfoots Ive used for close to 2 years now. The issue on a few were when they were polishing the reelfoot they pressed to hard and cuzed them to bow out. There not many that got out, but send me an email and we can take care of it.

Thank you,

Justin

Sweet thanks peen.

Another question from me (I promise I will shutup soon haha).

Whats the line like? How does it float, shoot, last, etc. Also, how are the weights in comparison to the big dogs. Not really trying to spend 60 bucks on line for my other rod.

Oh, and what are the discount codes for the line too? I don't think I set my email notification up right the first time.

Thanks alot guys, you're saving my butt haha.

Ty

I'm not sure that there is a discount code for the line. He had the yellow on sale, but the selection is limited now. I have the 3 wt and 5 wt line and I think that they perform great. I really like the welded loop too. As for the longevity of the line, I can't speak for that yet because I have only had it for a few months but so far so good!

Good enough for me! I wish I would have picked up some of that $10 yellow line for my lake rod. $23 is still a steal though! I may have to order some here shortly

I had ordered a 4wt Alpha which arrived yesterday. Reel looks great and I hope it performs as well as it looks.

Don't let it touch the dairy, or you'll have to have debates with Jewish scholars over the applicability of the kosher description from here out when you fish with it.

Here she is! I was handed down years and years worth of fly tying and fishing things today which included a Fenwick 8' 6wt that is really slow and light. The reel felt way too good on there to not spool it up!
