A few days ago I saw somebody mention a silver badger neck and it made wonder what flies I could tie using a nice golden badger dry fly neck that I have. Any ideas of flies to use in the eastern portion of Pa.

I really like to use badger hackle on the Wulff series of flies; here's a video using one:

be creative. experiment

What about a Conover? Good looking traditional dry.

Otherwise, I can't think of dries that specify golden badger. A little creative substitution on standard patterns could be rewarding.

I could tell you golden badger would make a handsome hackle on a Humpy. With a green or tan body, could be the ticket in the riffles when caddis are about. A Lime Trude or H & L would probably look pretty sharp with golden badger, too.

green drake spinner, just about any dry you want to add a little darker in thorax. Great for minnow pattern streamers..

It is perfect for Green Drake duns.

I'm not familiar with the third, but the first two will work just about anywhere.

There's also a dry version of the orange fish hawk.

Parachute Hare's Ear

Badger Bivisible. Old school fly that works. Great for skittering on the surface.
