Looks to me like either thick rubber legs, or you're just tying some bright chenille onto a curved hook and dubbing the head.

Just giving you a hard time on the trout magnets. I can't remember the last time I bought a fly, but I'm sure as heck those would work great on steel and fresh stockies. Was doing well on Saturday with some IPW's on stockies, so I'm sure those would work too.

The 2nd picture under UV light?

If i was fishing and gettin skunked , and the other fishers were catchin them on Dog Turd imitations , i'd use Dog Turd imitations. If you wanna catch fish use whatever is workin and Sandy , if they work they work , doesn't matter what anyone says.

Sandfly I knew what the rubber like material was right away. I have every color spikey kid ball you can imagine. You can get a lot of flies off of just one.

So, I fished these last night. I posted a picture of the ones I tied on Instagram and becker made fun of them. :)

Guess what? THEY WORK amazingly well. I had an Incredible Hulk ball that my son popped and I used that. It's an olive color with darked tips. I threw on a bright orange tungsten bead and the stockies went apesh*t for them.
