thats a good looking pattern. I have a handful of MB comparaduns from FFP and I like those. they ride kind of butt down and the hair wing keeps them afloat. might have to try a "spundun" though.
Shademt, That's very close to the one I tie for #12 march browns, too..
I found that using floatant on the wing/thorax only and letting the rear dip underneath produces an effective emerger pattern. That's pretty much how I fish it.
Us em all the time, basically the same idea as a comparadun, just a swept back wing, i trim the bottom even with the rest of the fly works great. doesn't twist bad either.
