I'm thinking about using Gammy Shiner hooks for bass bendbacks. Unfortunately all those great bass soft plastic hooks have a short front section before the kink that holds the bait in place. I think I'd have to arrange the materials on my bench before tying them in. Or not use much variety. Anyway, I'd have to be careful with the spacing. There isn't much room behind the eye. The Gammy G-Lock's geometry would be GREAT for weedless bass streamers. The materials would naturally all cover the point of the hook.

Before I start snapping the eye off the Gammy Shiners, anyone have any input on this matter?

I use an old mustad hook a 3407L size 2 and bend the shank for a longer length. makes it weedless to. old mustad are easier to bend then modern hooks and still can be found on line
