What types of yarn spin well into dubbing?

I need a couple colors of dubbing that I don't have in my collection. I figured I'd go to a craft store and pick up some yarn, cut, and blend in my coffee blender. At one time I had a list of which yarn types blended well and which ones didn't. Can't seem to find the list. Anyone have recommendations for yarn types that blend well in a coffee grinder? (I remember some types just turned into little balls which were no good for dubbing.)

I've used the plastic canvas yarn from sprawlmart's craft section as ghetto antron for awhile. If you cut it up into little 1/4-1/2" pieces it blends up pretty well with chunks of rabbit pelt and whatever else falls into the blender.

Ever try wool?

No, but I should. Especially since the craft store will sell you unspun wool for almost nothing. Its a good idea.
