First thing you need to find is a REALLY small parachute.

Seriously, this should help.

Hahaha thanks alot for both tips.. I just didn't know if you needed a special (mystery material) to make the parachute

Anything works. Polyproplene yarn floats bester, antron sparkles kinda and still takes gink, and krystal flash isn't so good.

Calf hair is a PITA, calf tail is better.

Me? I used poly yarn, and a few snippets of flash.

I use para post, which is treated poly yarn.

I have used calf tail, mallard flank, turkey flats, poly yarn. I've even seen people use thingamabobbers.

Other than the post, I prefer micro fibits, synthetic dry fly dubbing, and whiting hackle.

poly yarn , lay it ontop of the hook shank , tie it down , trim the side toward the hook bend , pull up on the poly and make several wraps in front of the poly to make it stand up , then wrap the thread arround the poly to hold it together and give a good base for your hackle , your done ...easy !

I've even seen people use thingamabobbers.
The strike indicator? Thats pretty bold!

jayl has some. I know they sell them during green drake time.

Here's another good series of flies...223 has a parachute tied.

z-lon or poly yarn. Lash it in the middle to the hook shank with a few locking thread wraps, double it over and post it together with a few more thread wraps then tie in a hackle on the way down. They're much easier than tying in wings on a catskill style fly IMO.

When were these video's produced? I've seen a lot of them and they're all really good, Thanks for that one

Not sure when they were produced...Probably says somewhere in the credits. I know the one gentleman passed away, so I don't know that they are being produced currently.

Ohhh thats too bad, They certainly know how to tie a fly.
