Tying in runs to help with consistency

One of the things I feel helped me get more consistent it tying in runs of 6 or so flies of one pattern. I think these ones from this weekends tying are probably the best nymphs I have ever tied. I think the consistency is just about as best I have ever done.

Once you get your consistency down it will help you get your tying times down as well.

The struggle is breaking Fly Tyers ADD.

and lastly

I think I did close to 9 dozen this weekend, and managed to fit in some time to fish on Saturday as well.

Low and behold the 2 absolutely drop dead gorgeous stone flies I made only lasted 2 drifts before getting snagged in a tree. Oh the struggle!!

Appreciate he advice. Consistency in proportions are my biggest problem tying ????

Just takes time. I sometimes use reference points on my vice that can help with tail lengths on certain Flies's you have to place the hook in about the same place each time to use it that way.

I actually got some tough criticism on this page a few years ago. At the time I took it the wrong way. But without the harsh criticism I never would be where iam today so looking back I have to say thanks lol
