Silver Pheasant Skin

What are these feathers used for? I inherited a silver pheasant skin, and not really sure what kinds of flies this would be used for. I mostly fish nymphs for trout and am beginning to venture into salt water angling as well.

Nice inheritance.

It is primarily used by Atlantic salmon tiers BUT...... Tie by technique and twist up some nymphs with it. Your imagination is your limit with what you can do with it.

My favorite streamer use it, The grey ghost.

I wish i could inherit a kori bustard skin!

Most commonly used as cheeks on the Rangeley Carrie Stevens Featherwing Streamers,also can be used as collars and sometimes as tented wings on Atlantic Salmon Flies.If i were you id hang on to it or if you'd like post a few pics and sell it in the swap section.
