As you may or may not know, I am fairly new to fly tying -- and the one thing that is holding me up is the style of hook. I like mustad/gamakatsu and know which sizes I need, but what is with all the different styles? I am looking for mainly nymph and dry hooks and there seems to be 100 styles of each and dont know which ones would be the best -- advice?

edit: I am mainly looking at this site to order some, and maybe you can understand with the way its laid out how it can be confusing:

any good place to get hooks for a little cheaper?

Ive been looking at the dai rikis on ebay but I wish I could find hooks in packs like : Dry (25 each) - 12, 14, 16, 18 or whatever -- anyone know of deals like that?

sorry so many questions! haha

Try this site. Decent hooks at a cheap price. Good luck.

this will help out alot! thanks man....

I've used this guy a few times on Ebay... combines shipping for $2 total on all orders, and hooks are decently priced. I'll use him again when I make another order.

Afish: I used the fish guy -- got about 30 bux worth of merch, so far--good customer service, he got back to me right away, said that the order shipped today, so far A+... now we'll just have to see how the products are...thanks for the rec though!

ryfly: that'll be my next order :)
