Head cement question

Just out of curiosity i was wondering how long will a bottle of head cement will last you. When i first started, a bottle would last me a year or more. But i finished half a bottle from november to jan and my new one is about three quarters full from jan til now. Granted, i have been tying ALOT more in the last 6-8 months. Just wondering how it works out for other tyers.

I make my own so its hard to tell how long a bottle last me any more. Back when I did buy it at least a year or more, but I never cement dry flies.

Honestly, I'm not sure how long a bottle lasts. I always have one on the table but it always gets gunky before it's gone. I do use it, but rarely.

I can't speak from experience but I've read the shelf life is 1 yr or when the cement gets too thick to use or penetrate the thread.

Forever if you thin it down with lacquer thinner when it gets goopy....I usually just steal my wife's sally hansen though....

i have a bottle of the old black duck traditional head cement thats probably going on 10 years old.

i just refresh it with a little thinner
