I made a video of the mulberry pattern I tie for carp. I call it the Berry-U-Sucka A.K.A Dutcman's Dinnerbell. It is a beautiful monstrosity in my opinion but it works! :-D Seems the fly pattern has gotten some lovin' lately.
I just want to point out a couple of things about the fly... I used sharpie marker in the video to color the foam... most would think carp would smell that a mile away. On most occasions they will but when its mulberry time they get downright dumb. If you're still not convinced then just use an odorless marker.
Also the glue I use is an odorless non toxic Urethane Adhesive. After the Adhesive coating on the fly dries I press it with my fingers into the crevices of the cut foam and gives the pattern that realistic mulberry appearance.
