In my most recent video, I share a couple razor blade tools that I regularly use at my bench. I'm sure many of you have others to recommend, thus I'd love to hear what other blades are being used.

Enjoy!

Tim

A $12 beard and mustache trimmer from Wally World or any other discount store works great for trimming deer hair flies and gamechanger type flies. Quick and easy.

Dave,

A few others mentioned this to me...is there a particular brand you prefer?

Thanks,

Tim

They're made by "X-Acto" and can be purchased at any hobby or art supply store.

There are various blades including a micro-saw or serrated blades.

The only thing I've used razors for so far are Muddler minnow heads. I don't get too fancy though. A double edge blade snapped in half and squeezed on the ends to get a circular shape has been good enough for me.

Found this at Home Depot - $2.99 with 2 razor blade packs. I've been stripping a lot of flies and those blades get dull fast.

It's called the HDX Mini Glass Scraper in the paint department.
