For those in the western Pennsylvania area, there is a fly tying demo Monday, February 17 in Gibsonia. This is a fly tying demo hosted by Joe Kayafas, with the proceeds benefiting Project Healing Waters. Last year, over $800 was donated to Project Healing Waters, and I anticipate more this year.

The details are as follows:

Where - Pizza Daddies 5560 William Flynn Highway, Gibsonia, PA 15044
When - Monday, Feb. 17 from 5:00 - 9:00
Cost - $10 apiece, which includes food. There will be a cash bar with a great variety of drafts there...

There will be door prizes, raffles, and a number of fly tyers (we had around five tying last year, including myself).

This is a great chance to support a fantastic charity at the local level, pick up some new fly tying techniques, and most importantly, get out of the house and talk some fly fishing and fly tying.

Hope to see many of you there,

TC

Shame I'm not closer, I'd be on that. Sounds like a good time.

I plan on attending. I donated a fully stocked steelhead fly box and materials. It's a great cause. Anyone who has a chance should attend.

Glad to know you're going to be there, Aaron; I wanted to thank you for that dubbing and talk to you about some of the other products you carry. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Tim stuff came up so I'm not going to make it. Let me know how it went.

Well be right next door at the pine richland youth center but can't make it... So close yet so far. Keep us updated on future events. Thanks and good luck with the event.

No worries, guys, though you missed a good one. We had a nice turnout, LOTS of door prizes, some excellent raffles, and the tying was beneficial for all.

Once everything was complete, Joe informed me that we made $972 to donate to Project Healing Waters, which is such an incredible amount. That's 20% more than we donated last year, plus all of the flies tied there were placed in a fly box to be given to a veteran. It was a great event again. Thanks to all who attended, and to Joe for setting everything up.
