Here's a YouTube fly tying tutorial that I uploaded today of the Flashback Pheasant Tail. This is a great pattern that simply catches trout. I chose not to add legs (typically partridge or grouse) on this pattern, but that's something you can easily add if you prefer.

Thanks,

i have a couple of flash back nymphs in my box and when things get slow i will put one on and usually pick one or two up. sometimes i wish i would start out with them as they obviously catch fish. thanks for the vid.

A very nice video, great presentation. Thank you.

Is wrapping the wire over the pearl flash physically possible or practical?

Nice video. Thanks. I tie and fish a lot of BH flashback nymphs.

I appreciate the comments. Fishbait, wrapping the wire over the flash is absolutely possible, and it's personal preference. By wrapping it over the flash, you definitely secure it, however the addition of an epoxy or UV glue makes it a moot point. If you'd like to wrap over to view the ribbing, then by all means go for it.
