If you had to choose, what would be your 4 favorite egg colors? I'm trying to minimize my selection and I'm going to switch to mcfly foam.

Peach, coral, pink, yellow. If I could have more it would be oregon cheese and orange.

Orange, cerise, pink. I don't need 4.

Prefer the pearl, peach or pink crystal method. Very successful with those this year over the egg patterns.

Yellow, mostly because it matches sucker spawn.

Also use orange in very small, single egg sizes.

I refuse to answer! Just kidding, my favorites in no certain order are peach, light yellow, orange and light pink.

This is a pretty solid list.

Here's mine:

yellow
peach
roe
champagne/cream

Also good to have:
chartreuse
"pink lady" (a mixed color yarn of light pink and yellow)

Some people get wayyyyyyyy too crazy with the number of colors that they carry. I'd rather have these 6 and plenty of each than a bunch of different colors. For steelhead i carry almost exclusively #14, but for trout i'll tie a handful of smaller suckerspawn in #16 or even #18.

Size 18 clown eggs in peach, cream, and hot orange.

Roe is a sort of golden orange color.

Here is a color chart for glo bug yarn (scroll to bottom of page in link):

Glo Bug Yarn

Pink Lady

Pinklady is good, I haven't fished it that long, but its starting to get wet more often than peachy king. I still prefer egg, roe, and Oregon cheese.

plaid, paisley, tie dyed, and pinstripe !
for an egg only 2 will do most times, a yellow and roe colored one.

egg color with a salmon dot
salmon
red
blue

I use blood dots the most. My top colors from size 14 down to 18.

Egg with a cherise dot

Egg with steelhead orange dot

Oregon cheese with steelhead orange dot

Half cherise and the other half chartreuse in dirty water tied in 14 only
