Here's my newest YouTube tutorial, this one focusing on extended body mayflies (such as a green drake, Isonychia/slate drake, etc.). I show a simple, yet effective, technique for creating mayfly bodies that can be added to a hook. From that point forward, the wing/hackle selection is up to you!

I tied an inept version of these with grizzly hackle tied catskill style behind the hair wing. Floated like a cork is all I can say.
