The November/December issue of "American Angler" has a streamer fly (Fathead Minnow) that uses "craft fur". Sounds like something one could get at Michael's. Is there something special about it? Is it unlike ducktail?

As always, any insights are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The "select" craft fur sold by Hareline is a slightly longer than want you would find in a craft store.

I sell extra long craft fur up to 5" long. what do you mean ducktail

i use a lot of craft fur.

great for generic" bucktails," clousers, cats whiskers and the wing on pass lakes, etc

Craft fur "bucktails" like the Black Nose Dace and Mickey Finn "swim" when in the current and look very real. I thought they were silly til a guy showed me the action. They are the bomb-diggity.

thunder creek style with craft fur
