I have been working on this hi-vis ant, first I was going to go with a hi-vis post but the hackle sits above the ant body too much and it does not sit nice. So I decided to do the standard hackle but trim it, making it look more like legs which sits nice and low in the water. With the addition of a hi-vis post I think it all comes together nicely. Only issue I have now is the middle section seems to fat, but that can not be helped as i am using foam.

The last photo is off the pattern I think I will be using floating in a tube of water.

I have to bow out. I'll be away on company business until 7/15. I just found out about it this morning.

I guess i missed this one , but i went fishing since the Jam and was away from the site for a couple weeks. I've been catching them on ants and inchworm imitations for a couple of weeks now. Terrestrial flies have always been good to me. I'm sorry to have missed this , near and dear to my heart.
