Rocky Run

Anyone have any experience with this stream? It runs through the Nature Lands’ Wawa Preserve in Delaware County, classified as a natural reproduction stream and has good access as a trail runs along side of it. I checked it out once on the way back from fishing Ridley Creek and was quite impressed with the setting, it really feels like you’re nowhere near a large city even though it’s directly behind Wawa’s original farm.

Very minor wild Brown Trout population. Barely made the list, but still great to have wild trout in that locale. You might find more wild trout or some holdovers in Ithan Ck, but still not large numbers of wild trout. As for stocked trout in Delaware County, Darby Ck tends to hold them the longest. The best wild trout fishing would be in Crum Ck, well above the reservoirs if you can gain access by approaching landowners.

Thanks Mike. Would you suggest fishing there or is it not even worth it? Have you fished Dismal Run also? I don’t know about access to there as it seems to run along the arboretum’s grounds.
