i am planning to fish the wiekert area this weekend. Have the recent rains cooled it down? What flies should i plan to bring with me?

I'd expect blue quills (late morning spinner falls), slate drakes, cahills, and various caddis.
BWO's (the larger size 12-14 Drunella variety) are also a HUGE hatch there, with large spinner falls at dusk, but they are probably winding down. I'd have them anyway, just in case.
Also, I'd have some stonefly nymphs along.
