Wondering if anyone knows of places to fly fishing for trout but also other species around Rocky Gap Resort in Cumberland MD.

Western MD has world class fishing trout opportunities. I consider it comparable to northcentral PA. The better trout fishing is out in Garrett County. The Potomac in that area has good bass fishing and is worth a look too.

I was just there Saturday, go see mike at savage river outfitters. The lower savage is on fire right now. Its about 40 minutes from cumberland, thats what I would do .

I bear some guys did well on the Yough recently. Lol. I went out to meet the yinzer crew but took 68 instead of going out the turnpike. I hadn't been out that way in 10-15 yrs. Forgot how beautiful that area is. You'll have a bit of a drive from Rocky Gap but there's the Savage, Yough, Casselman and Potomac.
