Anybody know how the creek is fishing near the sawmill?

Massive amounts of flash flooding in that area. Just about all small bridges are gone along with some houses and vehicles. I would imagine it’s going to take a long time before things are normal.

Terrible stay away

That stream is nearly always loaded with fish, so much so that in an ideal world a reg that allowed more harvest of smaller to medium size fish plus anglers who would participate in the harvest would be beneficial to the size distribution and body wt of the fish. How is it fishing?...depends on the day you go, not on fish abundance.

The creek is gonna be fine - its just different now. Years of mud and silt buildup were flushed away, exposing nice clean spawning gravel in quite a few areas. The choking weed growth that made some areas unfishable is gone and will have to start over. Habitat was lost in some places and created in others. The trout will adjust accordingly. Will the 'new version' of the stream affect predation/numbers/size of fish? Only time will tell. But there's no need to panic - we're good.

Had a good day on the Codorus, conditions just about perfect. thanks for the great info.
