Clarion River near Cooksburg

Has anyone fished in the vicinity of rt. 36 in the fall? As in middle of November?

Should be good to fish. Streamers in the deeper holding water should get some attention. I would hit the area just below Tom's Run.

FYI -- Browns -- big browns -- do move into the smaller tribs in that area to spawn this time of year. Toms Run, Cathers Run, Maple Creek and others may hold some "big" surprises for you.

When you look at Toms Run it appears there is some sort of dam, or structure not far upstream from the mouth. Is that the case? If so, do browns from the main river move up past that?

That's for a special fishing "pond" for kids 12 years old and younger.

Fish are not making it up over that dam. Its a 5ft vertical wall. I have done VERY well near the mouth of maple creek.
