Thought I'd share a pretty autumn morning I captured on Pine Creek when I was up there touring some shale gas drilling sites/facilities. I used the photo in a short piece about the scale of fracking, but wanted to share it here as well.

Was able to sneak onto Slate Run for an afternoon of fishing while up there. Beautiful.

Meh, didn't attach. Too big.

Ok. I give up. Upload didn't work and neither did the img tag method.

It's here: http://hatchmag.com/sites/default/files/styles/feature_full_page/public/shale-2.jpg?itok=w9Bw3iCZ

the img has to be small letters not capitol letters. at least in photobucket. yeah that looks like home.

I never made it up your way, Bob, as you obviously already know. We were staying in Slate Run, which turned out to be father than I thought from your spot.

We were scheduled out pretty much, so I didn't have time to come say hi.

(oh, the img tags were lowercase, but still didn't work)

Damn, I gotta get out to just walk.

You need to shrink the image in order to post it.

800 x 600 fro photo bucket
400 x 300 for direct into post

Here you are:

Nice job. Beautiful shot. The clouds really make it.

Small world! I read the article when it was re-posted on Facebook. Good job...

Thanks to all. Pine Creek valley really is a beautiful place.

I wish it were a bit closer.

THAT is one of my favorite places. I find a great deal of comfort in knowing those Mountians and forests go a long way in every direction.

Yes, very inviting. This goes to show that warm water streams can be pretty at this time of the year as well.
