I've visited the Tulpy a couple of times this fall and I think the hatches are much diminished. I hear the West Nile fears have inspired spraying to knock off the mosquitos, but I wonder if the hatches have gotten hammered as a result. After all, midges of the chironomid persuasion are in the same family, maybe even genus, as skeeters.
