surprised no one saw this and posted it yet...

"...Stanley States, PWSA's water quality director, said he suspects the privately owned plants are processing wastewater from Marcellus shale gas drilling operations, which contains bromide, a naturally occurring salty compound that can form cancer-causing agents when it combines with the chlorine in drinking water..."

Thanks for posting Tom. This comes as no surprise. How many of you get your drinking water from the Allegheny?
 
Mine comes from the lake with the gator and a trib to the Yough...would get it at work but have a water cooler...thank god.
 
Mine comes from ohio river - worse yet. Yucko!
 
dryflyguy, you get the best that the allegheny and the mon have to offer!!
it's gonna be just like the old days, the water will be undrinkable, so we'll have to rely on beer!
