Spawning question

I'm thinking about heading to central PA this weekend to do some fishing. However, I'm unsure of the timing when the brown trout start to lay up on the redds. Is it still early enough to get some fishing in before they start to spawn?

I would think no spawning has started yet in Central PA streams. I'm sure some of the guys from out there will check in to confirm.

The bigger streams are pretty high out there right now, but should come down a bit by the weekend. Here are the TCO Stream Reports to check > https://www.tcoflyfishing.com/pages/stream-conditions

The smaller streams in central PA should be just about perfect for fishing this weekend.

Agree with Afish - brown trout are not spawning yet.

I agree. There is definitely no spawning happening on my local streams.

And the bigger streams are perfect for streamers right now. And I mean PERFECT!
