Does someone know when the actual end of fishing season is before the next first day of trout? Is there a break period when you are not allowed to fish before trout season opens? I live in the regional opening day

Yeah it's today. March 1st until 8:00am on opening day on approved trout waters.

That's only partly correct, ATW's close, they are the stocked streams, the Special Regs. water are generally open all year, but change to C & R. unstocked water is C & R.

Yeah, only ATW's close on March 1. Special regs are open.

There's been debate over non-ATW wild trout streams. The general consensus is that they're open on a C&R basis.

ATW= Approved Trout Water (I believe they are your stocked streams)

C and R= Catch and Release (self explanatory)
