Fishing Friend wanted Loyal Sock 18-20 July

I will be in Williamsport July 18th - 20th for a family reunion at Indian Park in Montoursville. I am relatively new to flyfishing and was wondering if anyone would like to meet up with me and my cousin and hit the Loyal Sock Creek. Im not really familiar with the water but suspect Tricos and Terestials will be our best bet. Any advice on where to fish or anyone wants to show us around and enjoy lunch on me hit me up.

What section of the Loyalsock are you looking to fish? It's a good bet that the water may be down and quite warm at this time of year. Keep an eye on USGS flow and temp data leading up to your trip.

If your looking for mainly trout your going to want to go up 87 a ways atleast above barbours and focus on where tribs enter the creek and also check out some of the tribs. There's a lot of good smallmouth fishing on the sock very close to indian park as well.

Sounds good may have to bring the 6 weit and just try fro some smallies on streamers and terrestrials
